Josh Kroenke Set to "Own" Nuggets, Concerned that NFL Might Notice Father's Airquotes

In today’s Post-Dispatch, a plot-thickener in Stan Kroenke’s attempt to prove that he plans to really obviously flout the NFL’s one-team-per-owner rules: Former Mizzou Tiger and current son Josh Kroenke, 30, might become the majority owner of his dad’s Denver Nuggets:

In his statement, Kroenke noted that Josh, 30, “has been involved with many of our organizations for several years and that family continuity remains a priority.” Kroenke said his family “looks forward to owning the Rams, Nuggets and Avalanche for years to come while being compliant with all stipulations set by the NFL.”

I’m glad the tape stopped on that quote before he added “neener neener neener, and there’s nothing you guys can do about it.” When reached for comment, the NFL said “We didn’t close that loophole? Are you sure?”
