At Turf Show Times, a look at the games that will define the Rams' currently undefinable 2010 season. It concludes with the Week 14 sequel to last year's unexpectedly stirring loss to the eventual Super Bowl champs:
↵↵↵What to watch: The Rams are overmatched at almost every spot of the field. What was so surprising about last year's game against the Saints was the Rams' performance through the air. The Saints secondary depends on the turnover. Bulger threw just one INT, so hopefully this is another place where Bradford's accuracy gets to shine. Of course, Steven Jackson also had 131 yards rushing. The Saints may not come close to Greatest Show levels of production this year, but they should be able to score. The defense will have its hands full. I'm not going to tell to you bet against the spread in this game. However, if the Rams put forth a strong effort here, I think we can look forward to 2011, if there's a season, with confidence and maybe even a little swagger.

For the 2010 Rams any game that looks close heading into the fourth quarter will define their season—everybody expects some blowouts, but the close games are there for bad teams to take. Winning two or three of them will be the difference between the 2010 Rams being forgetting forever and being looked at as a sort of first step on the way to a new decade of—well, adequacy, at least.
↵That's all I ask for: give me a game in 2010 that, sometime in 2013, I can look back fondly on as the start of something interesting.
