Sam Bradford Contract Watch Fever: Catch It!

Bernie Miklasz reported on Saturday that the Rams will begin to negotiate with number one pick Sam Bradford this week.

Wait—that's this week! That means that whatever you find yourself doing this week—shopping for groceries, sitting at your desk, picking the kids up from school, writing commentary entries for a regional sports website—take a little time for yourself and wonder what Sam Bradford and the Rams are talking about at that very moment.

Well, maybe just what the Rams are talking about—

Bradford won't be directly involved with the negotiations. "That's why I hired an agent," he told reporters in Oklahoma this week. "I don't want to deal with any of that stuff. That stuff's all on (Condon). I've done my part to get myself here. Now, it's his job to get me in camp."

I admire the thought, and it pleases me to know that he's ready to Get Down To Business and begin employing cliches like that one, but if I knew there were people in the next room discussing exactly how many millions I'd be getting over the most important years of my working life... well, I'd have trouble leaving it all to my agent.
