Something about this Tweet, from Fox Sports Midwest, seems cruel to me. Jon Jay has just run his hitting streak to 12 games, longest in the majors. He's hitting over .500 in July. He's having the best run of his life.

Jon Jay's 12 game hitting streak is longest by a Cards rookie since Albert Pujols in 2001 (Pujols had 3 different streaks of 13 or more)

Oh, 12 games? That's cute, mang.
