Terrell Owens: Maybe Not A Clubhouse Motivator

Bernie Miklasz has saved his most certain columnese for the purported Terrell Owens Rams signing, which is being discussed in Rams HQ even as we blog.

When Steve Spagnuolo was introduced as the new head coach of the St. Louis Rams, he talked about rebuilding the team with a "four pillars" foundation.

↵

Faith. Character. Core values. Team first.

↵

Well, now. If the Rams go ahead and sign wide receiver Terrell Owens, the four pillars will stand for something else:

↵

Loss of faith. Faulty character. Compromised values. Me first.

Yowza.

I can't blame Bernie for his skepticism re: TO, but his ability to restrain himself in Buffalo makes me wonder whether his declining skills have made him less likely to talk about how terrible his quarterbacks are. If he doesn't undermine the guys who threw to him for the BIlls last year, who could he possibly be mad at? Those guys wouldn't have started on a good CFL team.
