Johnny Cueto Kicks Jason LaRue From 40-Man Roster

Anything's likely to get lost in the shuffle when it comes as the direct result of the Cardinals trading for a truly uninspiring upgrade at third base, but to fit Pedro Feliz on the 40-man roster the Cardinals moved backup catcher Jason LaRue, on the DL after a hurricane kick from Johnny Cueto earlier this month, was moved to the 60-day disabled list, meaning his career with the team could well be over.

It's impossible to be sure just how severe the injury is, because LaRue never played and backup catchers are often going down with roster-flexibility-related injuries. But if a player's career is in doubt after Cueto's button-mashing, that one-start suspension begins to seem awfully understated.
