St. Louis Rams Nearly Least Valuable Franchise In Football, Per Forbes

God bless the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, and Jacksonville Jaguars—because according to Forbes's annual franchise valuation report, the St. Louis Rams have only them to thank for not being the least valuable franchise in football. They're worth $779 million—and since the Rams were just yesterday purchased based on a franchise value of $750 million, we can confirm that that's in the ballpark.

$779 million is good for 29th. No. 1 is the $1.8 billion Dallas Cowboys—that's right, for just $6.50 a head, America could buy America's Team.

The gap between those two numbers is why it's so easy to become worried about the team moving back to Los Angeles and instantly doubling in value. But—look, I know the Edward Jones Dome is kind of warehouse-like, but amenity-wise it at least beats out the LA Coliseum.
