Sam Bradford, Rams Prepare For Preseason Contest With Patriots

Sam Bradford is the St. Louis Rams' starting quarterback, and he's ready to take on their traditional arch-nemeses, the New England Patriots. But this probably isn't how he expected it to happen.

Bradford is the Rams' quarterback because A.J. Feeley hurt his thumb last week, and won't be able to go. And Feeley hasn't just been the formality starter this preseason—while Bradford has struggled, he's, well, struggled a little less. And this isn't the Super Bowl so much as a Thursday night game in the preseason. For a $50 million man, his first start is surprisingly low budget.

Whatever the Rams didn't have to spend on CGI and 3D IMAX treatment will probably go to their offensive line, which has earned them no small amount of  bad advance notice.
