Sam Bradford is capable of a number of great things. He throws with an accuracy unseen in St. Louis since the days of Mike Martz's mad-scientist routes with Kurt Warner; he charms cynical Rams fans with his boyish good looks; he goes number one in the NFL Draft despite missing most of his final college season with a frightening shoulder problem.
↵But this blog entry from ESPN's Mike Sando—hat tip TST—showcases what may be Bradford's greatest skill at all: After his outstanding performance at this past weekend's Lindenwood scrimmage, he can cause a sportswriter to utter the following words with no irony at all:
↵↵↵I'm headed to St. Louis for the Vikings-Rams game Aug. 14 and very much looking forward to it.
↵
That's right: Somebody out there is excited to go to a Rams-Vikings game in the NFL preseason with no hope of Brett Favre emerging from behind the Minnesota bench and striking Tarvaris Jackson over the back with a steel chair.
↵Things have clearly changed for the St. Louis Rams. And all I can ask is that they keep changing.
