St. Louis Rams Lose Wild One Against Arizona Cardinals As Time Expires

One thing is for certain, after the St. Louis Rams’ week one loss to the Arizona Cardinals: This team isn’t about to hide Sam Bradford in his rookie season. For all the talk of shoulder problems their franchise quarterback took 55 passing attempts in Sunday’s 17-13 loss, including a last-second heave that ended in his third interception of the night.

Bradford finished 32-for-55 with 253 yards passing, one touchdown, and three interceptions. After a slow start he seemingly hit his stride in the second half, before throwing a crucial interception in the fourth quarter. Newcomer Mark Clayton was his favorite target, making a career-high 10 receptions for 119 yards. Steven Jackson, apparently fully recovered from offseason back surgery, took 22 carries for 81 yards.

The Rams tied the game at 10 as time expired but couldn’t quite recover from the Cardinals’ fourth quarter touchdown.
