Sam Bradford: He's No Mark Sanchez

To be honest, when I compared Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez I expected Sam Bradford, in his debut start, to fall more toward the Mark Sanchez side—hidden behind an effective running back, playing conservative football. I didn't expect him to make more passing attempts than anybody not named Peyton Manning in week one.

In fact, the last time a Rams quarterback made 55 pass attempts was December 11, 2006, when Marc Bulger went 34-for-55 with 356 yards and three touchdowns. Sam Bradford was far from perfect in week one, but the Rams relied on him like few teams rely on any quarterback, and he kept them in it until the last snap of the game. Week one has to be considered a success.
