NFL Transactions: St. Louis Rams Claim LB Bryan Kehl To Bolster Special Teams

With special teams stalwart Chris Chamberlain set to miss 6-8 weeks after sustaining a turf toe injury in week one, the St. Louis Rams moved to fill the gap on the waiver wire, selecting former New York Giant Bryan Kehl. Kehl, who was waived by the Giants on September 14, led the Giants in special teams tackles in 2009 and intercepted a pass on defense.

Chamberlain, who had led the St. Louis Rams in special teams tackles for two consecutive seasons, could be placed on the injured reserve as a result of the move.
