I have to admit, the kid knows how to say the right things. In an interview with Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Chorney lays out why he thinks he was waived to be sent to the AHL by the Edmonton Oilers, as well as what he thinks he can bring to the team.
↵On what exactly he's good at:
↵↵↵“I think I’m a guy that can skate well, move the puck well and have good gaps out there, use my speed to take away time and space,” Chorney said. “I’ll try to blend in well in the locker room and bring some character to the room as well.”

Basically, he’s a puck-mover. If that means moving the puck out of the Blues zone and away from goaltender Jaroslav Halak, well, that’s a good start.
