After MLB postponed Wednesday's World Series game due to inclement weather, forecasts for Thursday's rescheduled Game 6 looks much better. Via St. Louis Today:
Game 6 of the World Series, rescheduled for tonight because of Wednesday's rain, should see dry skies and cool conditions.
The National Weather Service says the temperature could be 50 when the game starts but dip into the mid 40s as the game progresses.
Some spotty light showers in the St. Louis area this morning should be gone by late morning, forecasters say. In the afternoon today, the high could reach 58 degrees, and the skies should be clear and sunny.
The Cardinals bullpen will likely benefit the most from Wednesday's postponement, considering Manager Tony La Russa has used his bullpen pitchers for a total of 15 innings through the first five games of the World Series. Cardinals reliever Octavio Dotel certainly believes the additional rest will help, saying:
"At this point it's great to have an extra day off. It helps everybody, and you're going to be more fresh coming to the game tomorrow, and you're going to be stronger because you had an extra day off. So it's always good."
