The latest BCS rankings were released this evening and there were no changes in the top three, as Louisiana State and Alabama remained No. 1 and No.2, respectively, despite being idle this weekend, and Oklahoma State further solidified its position at No. 3 with a big win against Baylor on Saturday.

The top 10 can be tiered roughly like this:

1.) LSU (.9734 BCS Avg.)
2.) Alabama (.9591)
3.) Oklahoma St. (.9310)
----------
4.) Stanford (.8615)
5.) Boise St. (.8522)
----------
6.) Oklahoma (.7790)
----------
7.) Arkansas (.7033)
8.) Oregon (.6916)
----------
9.) South Carolina (.6177)
10.) Nebraska (.6156)

LSU and Alabama meet this weekend in what is widely regarded as the college football game of the year; is Oklahoma State close enough to move ahead of the loser? The computers love the Cowboys (must be the uniforms), which can only help.

Elsewhere in the Big 12, Oklahoma moved up three spots after a decisive win at Kansas State. Kansas State slipped from eighth to 14th.

Missouri picked up a huge road win at Texas A&M over the weekend, but at just 4-4 overall, the Tigers are well out of the BCS picture. Ditto Illinois, which has lost three straight after a 6-0 start to the season.
