Washington finished last season 24-11 with a trip to the Sweet Sixteen. St. Louis finished 12-19 and didn't earn a berth to any sort of postseason tournament. But a new season has equaled new results for the Billikens, who extended their undefeated start on Sunday by blowing past the Huskies 77-64.
The game wasn't even as close as the final score indicates. Washington never got closer than down 13 points and St. Louis led 50-25 at halftime. The win improves the Billikens to 4-0, while the Huskies fall to 3-1.
Missouri State is also off to an undefeated start. The Bears, who already have a victory over Nevada on their early resume, beat Emporia St. 71-45 on Friday. Jamar Gulley and Kyle Weems carried the scoring for Missouri State, each pouring in 11 points in the win.
St. Louis' next game is against Boston College on Thursday. Missouri State hosts Tulsa on Saturday November 26.
