St. Louis Billikens Advance To 76 Classic Finals With 80-68 Win Over Villanova

St. Louis advanced to the 76 Classic tournament championship on Friday.

The St. Louis Billikens have shot the ball well from beyond the three-point line all season, and that continued in Friday's 80-68 win over Villanova in the semifinals of the 76 Classic. St. Louis knocked down 14 of 27 three-point attempts against the Wildcats. Kyle Cassity led that charge with four made threes, while Jordair Jett led the team in scoring with 19 points.

St. Louis found itself in an early 10-point hole before hot shooting keyed a 20-2 run and an eventual 38-34 halftime lead. The hot shooting continued in the second half, and the Billikens led by as many as 14 points.

With the win, St. Louis is in the 76 Classic championship game and will face the winner of the Santa Clara vs. Oklahoma game that is being played late Friday night.
