Great news, Missourian basketball fans: The NBA lockout is tentatively over! Pro basketball is supposedly ready to come back in time for its long-standing date with Christmas Day, and that means that St. Louis Hawks fans will finally be able to stop watching this college crap and get back into the pro game.
↵It's been a long, hard slog, hasn't it? Unlike the NFL lockout, which was pretty clearly the owners attempting to improve an already-brilliant position at the expense of the worst-performing union in American professional sports, the NBA lockout put a lot of fans in the odd position of having to deal with a labor dispute in which the owners had reasonable points to make.
↵But all of that's finished. So put on your Hawks gear, get on down to St. Louis Arena, and storm the box office for tickets to the best game in—wait, what? They tore down the St. Louis Arena in 1999? The Hawks have played in Atlanta for 40 years?
↵Look, I'm going to have to do some research on this, but I think I'd know if that were the case.
