Following a thrilling 52-45 home victory over Kansas St., Oklahoma St. has climbed to No. 2 in the latest BCS Rankings. With LSU holding the top spot following its victory over Alabama, the Cowboys took advantage of a dominant offensive performance to switch spots with the Crimson Tide.
With Oklahoma St. moving up to No. 2, the rivalry matchup with Oklahoma figures to be even more special this season. The Sooners have bounced back from their stunning loss to Texas Tech and check in at No. 6 in the BCS Rankings. However, Oklahoma will have to find a way to replace WR Ryan Broyles, who was lost for the season in the victory over Texas A&M.
Despite its loss to Oklahoma St., Kansas St. remains at No. 14 in the rankings. The Wildcats put together a valiant performance, but couldn't find a way to score in the final seconds against the Cowboys. Although they seem to have flown under the radar since a loss to Oklahoma, the Texas Longhorns have climbed to No. 16. The Longhorns have won their past two games and travel to Missouri this weekend in another key Big 12 matchup. The last Big 12 team to find its way into the rankings is Baylor. The Bears check in at No. 25 following a win over Missouri.
