While professional basketball remains locked out thanks to a nasty labor dispute between players and owners, the return of college hoops is right around the corner. The St. Louis Billikens are looking to rebound from a 12-19 season last year that saw them finish 6-10 in the Atlantic-10. Here's a quick look at all the St. Louis college hoops action this week.
Tennessee State at St. Louis Billikens -- Friday, November 11
Tennessee State was 14-16 last year, but finished with a winning record (10-8) in the Ohio Valley Conference. St. Louis will look to guard Mike McCall to spark the offense. The Chicago native led St. Louis in scoring as a freshman, averaging over 10 points and three assists per game. Senior forward Brian Conklin is expected to provide a toughness on defense. The 6'6 Oregon native is St. Louis' leading returning rebounder.
Missouri State also opens on Friday with a game at Nevada.
