The Saint Louis Billikens had little trouble beating the Arkansas State Red Wolves by a score of 70-46 on Thursday night. Saint Louis took a large 36-20 lead into halftime, and extended the lead a bit from there.
Arkansas State was held to just 36 percent shooting in the game, struggling to really get anything going. The Billikens were much better from the field, shooting about 53 percent, and they also had the advantages in rebounding and turnover margin. The Red Wolves are now a brutal 1-6 on the road this season, including a loss to then-No. 7 Louisville when they were held to just 27 points.
Dwayne Evans led the way for Saint Louis with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Brian Conklin added 12 points and 5 rebounds. Arkansas State got 10 points apiece from Malcoln Kirkland and Trey Finn, but didn't have any other players get double-digits in scoring.
