Super Bowl Recipes: Al's Award Winning Chili

Seriously, it won an award!

1 LB Sirloin steak (cubed in 1/4 inch pieces)

1 LB ground pork

½ LB ground turkey

½ LB ground beef
1 14½ oz. can of beef broth
18 oz dark beer
1 8 oz can of Hunts Tomato Sauce

1 can stewed tomatoes
2 jalapenos (finely diced)
1 onion (finely diced)
2 Tb hot sauce
2 Tb onion powder
1 Tp red pepper (Cayenne)
2 Tp beef bouillon granules
1 Tp chicken bouillon granules

Cook pork, drain fat and set aside

Cook turkey, drain fat and set aside

Cook ground beef, drain fat and set aside
Brown sirloin cubes in oil, drain fat
Combine all ingredients & bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for and hour.

Then add:
2 Tb tomato paste
1 Tp garlic powder
1½ Tb cumin
3/4 Tp white pepper (or black if you don't have white pepper)
6 to 8 Tb Mexican Chili Powder (add more or less to taste)
salt to taste

Simmer for half an hour and serve.

Suggested accoutrements: Shredded cheese, tortilla ships, pickled jalapenos, oyster crackers
