Missouri Baseball, Oklahoma Get A Snow Day

There are certain problems that are inherent playing baseball for an institution that takes summers off—namely snow days. This week's college baseball update finds Missouri and Oklahoma baseball free thanks to a sudden spate of mid-Missouri snow. The Big 12 baseball standings will see a difference here inasmuch as Oklahoma's sudden fall from college baseball rankings grace—thanks in part to their 2-3 in-conference record—is arrested for the moment. Some college baseball scores from the area follow this paragraph:

Mizzou split their doubleheader with Oklahoma before snow intervened, losing 3-1 before winning 2-1 in extra innings. They're 2-3 since their six-game winning streak ended on March 20.

In Big 10 baseball news, Illinois's won three straight, including a 7-4 victory over SLU, but they remain 7-10, sixth in the Big 10 standings. The aforementioned Saint Louis University Billikens recovered to top Northern Illinois and SEMO before losing two straight to Saint Joseph's in Camden, New Jersey. They've got a game to go in Camden before heading to Charleston, Illinois on March 29 to take on Eastern Illinois. The defending A10 champions are 0-2 in conference thus far but have a 14-8 record to show for it.
