St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers Duel At Chavez Ravine

The St. Louis Cardinals will see if their newly resurrected offense, with Lance Berkman at the center, can keep on the road from Phoenix to Los Angels Thursday night, when they begin a road series with the Los Angeles Dodgers at Chavez Ravine. Jaime Garcia, who's yet to be scored on in two starts, will take the ball for the Cardinals against Hiroki Kuroda, who fell a third of an inning short of his own shutout in his last start, against the San Diego Padres.

The Cardinals, for their part, have Matt Holliday back in the lineup following his appendectomy. Lance Berkman drove in 10 runs against the Diamondbacks after a brief slump, and Albert Pujols, who went 2-3 on Wednesday, appears to have come close to breaking out of his early-season slump.

The Cardinals and Dodgers will play four games, wrapping up a road trip for the Cardinals that began in San Francisco. Kyle Lohse, Kyle McClellan, and Chris Carpenter will take the ball for the Cardinals over the three remaining games of the series.
