The Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Billikens headline local college basketball this weekend with big conference games against quality opponents. After ripping off 14 straight wins to start the season, the No. 9 Missouri Tigers (15-1, 1-1) finally stumbled when they lost 75-59 on the road against the No. 22 Kansas State Wildcats last Saturday. The Billikens (13-4, 1-2) have dropped two important conference games in the A-10 already, and need to get back on track quickly if they hope to compete for the top spot in the conference any time soon. St. Louis has lost those two games by a total of 11 points, with one defeat coming in overtime against the Dayton Flyers, but close simply isn't good enough for a team that opened the season with a 12-1 record.
The Missouri Tigers (15-1, 1-1) will host the Texas Longhorns (12-4, 2-1) and look to keep their perfect home record alive:
Game date, time: 12:00 p.m. CT, Saturday, Jan. 14th, 2012

The St. Louis Billikens (13-4, 1-2) travel to take on the Charlotte 49ers (9-6, 2-1) and hope to even up their record in the A-10:
