St. Louis Billikens Fall To Dayton 79-72 In Overtime

St. Louis was defeated in overtime by Dayton on Wednesday.

St. Louis Billikens forward Cody Ellis knocked down a three-pointer with two seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime on Wednesday, but St. Louis fell in the extra session to Dayton 79-72. St. Louis led by eight at halftime, but went cold in the second half. It was enough for Dayton to escape with the win and improved to 11-4. St. Louis falls to 12-3 with the loss.

Briain Conklin led all Billikens scorers with 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting. Four other St. Louis scorers each double-figures, as well. Forward Dwyane Evans had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Kwamain Mitchell added 11 points. Ellis (12 points) and Mike McCall (10 points) scored inefficiently off the bench.

Chicago native Kevin Dillard did most of the damage for the Flyers, finish with game-high totals in both points (18) and assists (10). Teammate Paul Williams scored six of his 11 points in overtime.
