Danny Amendola injury: Rams WR returns to practice just weeks after serious injury

St. Louis wide receiver Danny Amendola has returned to practice on a limited basis following a life-threatening collarbone injury just a few weeks ago.

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola is back at practice a mere three weeks after suffering a brutal collarbone injury, Pro Football Talk reports.

A FOX report at the time said the collarbone was potentially life-threatening and required surgery to repair, but head coach Jeff Fisher said Amendola is already back practicing on a limited basis as the Rams prepare to face the New England Patriots this weekend in London. It's unclear when Amendola will return to game action, but it appears it will be much sooner than anyone expected.

Amendola was having a nice season before the injury, emerging as one of quarterback Sam Bradford's best weapons. He last played in Week 5 against Arizona Cardinals, when he caught one pass for 44 yards. His best game of the season came in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins, when he caught 15 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown. On the year, he has 32 receptions for 395 yards and two touchdowns.
