NFL odds and lines Week 10: Rams vs. 49ers

The Rams have opened as 12.5 point underdogs in this weekend's game against the 49ers in San Francisco.

The Saint Louis Rams have opened as 12.5 point underdogs to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Candlestick Park. The Rams are currently in last place in the NFC West with a 3-5 record and are riding a three-game losing streak. The Niners on the other hand, are leading the NFC West with a 6-2 record and have won two in a row.

The Rams' offense, ranked at No. 28 in the league, is only averaging 17.1 points per game, which isn't a good match when facing the No. 2 defense in the league, which has only allowed 12.9 points per game. Meanwhile, the Niners' offense is ranked at No. 13 in the league and averages 23.6 points per game while the Rams' defense is ranked at No. 13 and gives up an average of 23.2 points per game.

If the 49ers' and the Rams' offensive and defensive rankings hold true, the Niners shouldn't have much of a problem covering the spread. However, if that was the case week in and week out, the NFL wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is today. Anything can happen on any given Sunday.
