The St. Louis Billikens have won nine of their last ten games and are making a serious push to finish at the top of the conference standings in the A-10. Meanwhile, the Rhode Island Rams can't seem to escape the basement. The head-to-head matchup on Saturday afternoon highlights two teams headed in completely different directions. The Billikens boast a record of 22-5 overall, while the Rams managed something even worse than the inverse at 5-23 this season.
The Rams have lost five games in a row and have struggled to win this season due to a woefully ineffective and inefficient offense. They rank 299th in the nation with 11 assists per game, and even worse at 321st in the nation with a 39.8% field-goal percentage. Guard Jamal Wilson leads the team in points per game with 16.4, but he has been part of the problem when it comes to efficiency, hitting just 39.2 percent of his shots.
St. Louis scores far more effectively with their opportunities, hitting 45.7% of their shots from the floor for national ranking of 82nd overall.
