The Xavier Musketeers present a nice litmus test for the St. Louis Billikens tonight before Rick Majerus' team enters postseason play, but Majerus won't like his team's effort through the first half at Chaifetz Arena. Xavier leads St. Louis 39-29 at the break. St. Louis is shooting just 33 percent from the floor (10-of-30), while Xavier is 14-of-27, good for a shooting percentage of 51.9.
Wing Dezmine Wells has 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting to lead the Musketeers. Mark Lyons made two three-pointers en route to a 10-point half.
Kwamain Mitchell leads St. Louis with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting. Teammate Brian Conklin has eight points. Jordair Jett has five points at halftime.
