The 2012 NCAA tournament is an opportunity for the No. 9 seed St. Louis Billikens to make a huge splash, but they have to overcome some very difficult competition right off the bat. The No. 8 seed Memphis Tigers are an extremely difficult Round of 64 matchup, and even if they escape that game, the No. 1 Michigan St. Spartans are looming. SB Nation's Bill Connelly has released his NCAA Bracket Predictions, in the good news for St. Louis that they won't have to deal with Michigan State. The bad news is that they are projected to get bounced by Memphis.

In that same set of projections, the Tigers fall to the Spartans in the next round and Michigan State moves on to the Elite Eight before dropping a game to the Missouri Tigers. The national championship game comes down to a game between the Kentucky Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks, with Kentucky pulling out a 77-71 victory that may or may not be vacated several years down the line.
