Arch Madness 2012 Update: Creighton Rolls To Impressive Win

After watching Wichita St. fall to Illinois St. earlier in the day, there was no way that Creighton was going to overlook Evansville. Following two hotly-contested meetings during the regular-season, the Blue Jays came out and completely dominated the Aces in the 99-71 win. With the victory, the Blue Jays will face Illinois St. in the tournament final tomorrow.

Gregory Echenique anchored the paint for Creighton in the victory, scoring a season-high 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Doug McDermott chipped in 14 points in just 23 minutes of action, while Antoine Young netted 13 points. The Blue Jays shot 60.4% from the field and dished out 22 assists.

In the loss, Kenneth Harris scored 17 points to lead the Aces. Troy Taylor scored eight points and dished out a team-high five assists before fouling out of the game. However, Evansville shot just 42.4% from the field as team in the loss.
