2012 Players Championship Leaderboard: Ian Poulter Leading The Pack With 7-Under Par

The PGA Tour continues on Thursday with the 2012 Players Championship drawing to finish in its first day. According to the latest leaderboards at PGATour.com, Englishman Ian Poulter has taken the lead with an impressive 7-under showing. Poulter bogeyed on the 7th hole, but managed to fight back with a combined 8 birdies, including 3 in a row on the 10th, 11th and 12th holes.

American Blake Adams stands in seconds place with a 6-under after bogeying in holes No. 3 and No. 10, and birdying in eight holes, including No. 5 through No. 9. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods, stuck at 2-over at the day's end, risk yet another disastrous drop out.

With over 70 players still working through the greens, the leaderboards are subject to considerable possible change. Among those still on the course, Australian Adam Scott appears positioned to crack the top group, sporting a 3-under after 8 holes.
