The Missouri State Bears did not win the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title or tournament championship, but their regular season was enough to get them an at-large bid to the 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament. They'll be headed to the Coral Gables Regional, hosted by the University of Miami Hurricanes, as the No. 3 seed.

Here's how that regional is seeded:

  1. Miami Hurricanes
  2. Central Florida Knights
  3. Missouri State Bears
  4. Stony Brook Seawolves

The Bears will take on the Knights in the regional's first game on the afternoon of Friday, June 1. The winner of that game will go on to face the winner of the Miami vs. Stony Brook opening round game, and the double-elimination tournament will commence from there. The winner of the Coral Gables Regional will be matched up with the winner of the Baton Rouge Regional, which is being hosted by the LSU Tigers and also features the Oregon State Beavers, Belmont Bruins and the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.
