U.S. Open Leaderboard Update: Jim Furyk Battles To Keep Lead

No one is having it easy at Olympic Club in this U.S. Open golf tournament. But atop the leaderboard with the only score under par is Jim Furyk with a 1-under after his birdie on 11. That shot gave Furyk the undisputed lead, for now.

Graeme McDowell just made it to even-par with a birdie on 13, so the leaderboard could be shaking up as this post is being written. What's important to keep in mind is that most players have made their way through the rough parts of the day, with the first six holes seeming to trip up everyone except Furyk.

Tiger Woods has had a rough start to the day, even though he's known for performing well late in tournaments when he's in contention. Woods is +2 on the tournament and +3 through 12 holes on the day.
