2012 Olympics Schedule: Soccer Dominates Thursday's TV Choices Ahead Of Opening Ceremonies

The 2012 London Olympics are dominated by soccer on Thursday. Which is okay, considering they haven't started yet. Here's a look at Thursday's Olympics TV schedule.

The 2012 London Olympics' Opening Ceremony isn't until Friday, but the Olympic soccer tournament is already in full swing Thursday morning. A careful TV viewer with a full set of NBC-related channels will be able to watch plenty of the early Group action, starting with Mexico vs. Korea at 8:30 AM on NBC Sports and No. 1 seed Spain against Japan at 8:45 on MSNBC. Later on, NBC Sports will run the United Arab Emirates vs. Uraguay, a united Great Britain squad vs. Senegal, and, at 3:45, Belarus vs. New Zealand. On MSNBC you'll see new qualifier Gabon take on Switzerland and then, at 1:45, Egypt play Brazil. (For an awkward-to-navigate schedule from NBC, click here.)

It's a lot of soccer—and a lot of Olympics, considering the Olympics haven't really started yet. For daily updates on what to watch at the London Olympics, not to mention where and when, stay tuned to SB Nation St. Louis, where we try every four years or so to enjoy the soccer schedule and just end up enjoying loud displays of nationalism instead.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
