Cardinals Vs. Diamondbacks: Wednesday's Starting Lineups

Adam Wainwright starts for the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night, as the Cards look to take the second game of a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Both Mike Matheny and Kirk Gibson have announced the starting lineups for Wednesday night's contest, and they are as follows:

Arizona Diamondbacks

SS Stephen Drew
2B Aaron Hill
LF Jason Kubel
1B Paul Goldschmidt
RF Justin Upton
C Miguel Montero
3B Chris Johnson
CF Chris Young
SP Joe Saunders

St. Louis Cardinals

CF Jon Jay
1B Allen Craig
LF Matt Holliday
RF Carlos Beltran
3B David Freese
2B Daniel Descalso
C Tony Cruz
SS Rafael Furcal
SP Adam Wainwright

Yadier Molina is absent from Wednesday's lineup, and the All-Star catcher expects to miss a few games because of back stiffness.

Seven of St. Louis's starters are right-handed (or will be batting right-handed in the cases of Beltran and Furcal), which is a good thing, as right-handed batters hit Saunders to a .286/.338/.464 tune, compared to .211/.231/.246 for left-handed batters.
