It's been a long time since anyone other than running back Steven Jackson has been a top fantasy target on the Rams offense. In SB Nation's recent rankings of the top fantasy tight ends for the 2012 NFL season, no Rams player is listed in the top 20 at the position.

While the Rams attempted to give quarterback Sam Bradford some new receiving targets for the 2012 season, they chose to do so by drafting a pair of receivers instead of adding new tight end talent. However, the Rams could see some performance at the position from Lance Kendricks in his second NFL season.

The 2011 2nd-round pick recorded just 28 receptions for 352 yards and was unable to find the end zone in his rookie year, but certainly has the athleticism to break out in 2012.

Regardless, selecting Kendricks with a fantasy draft pick would likely be premature and he could be had as a waiver wire pickup midseason instead.
