Rookie defensive tackle Michael Brockers has yet to play a regular season snap for the St. Louis Rams, and he will likely be out in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears as he continues to recover from an injury sustained in the preseason.
The high-ankle sprain of his right leg was the result of an illegal block inflicted by Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ramon Harewood, who was fined $8,000 following the play and plans to appeal the decision, according to a report from the Baltimore Sun.
Drafted 14th overall in this year's draft out of LSU and thought to be the top defensive tackle on the board, Brockers has missed both of the Rams' regular season contests, which included a last-second loss on the road to the Detroit Lions in the season opener and a comeback victory over Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins at home in Week 2.
St. Louis kicks off in Chicago at 12 p.m. CT in a game that will be televised on Fox.
