Bears running back Matt Forte did not practice Thursday, escalating the possibility he won't be available for Chicago in their Week 3 game versus the Rams.
Forte injured his ankle in the Bears' 23-10 loss at Green Bay in Week 2, but it's been reported it's not a high ankle sprain.
His absence would put another dent into a struggling Bears offense. It would, however, give back-up Michael Bush a chance to shine. Bush leads the Bears with two touchdowns and 26 attempts so far this season, and has 26 career starts in his time in Oakland when he backed up Darren McFadden.
The Rams are 10-point underdogs heading into the game even with the possibility of Forte being absent.
