Two former St. Louis Rams were among the 15 Class of 2012 finalists for the NFL Hall of Fame. Aeneas Williams, who was one of the key defensive players during the "Greatest Show On Turf" era, and Jerome Bettis, who played for the Rams before an incredible career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, are both up for consideration for a Hall of Fame spot.

After spending 10 seasons with the Cardinals, Williams came to St. Louis and made an immediate impact. In his first season in St. Louis, Williams recorded 72 tackles and picked off four passes to help the Rams reach the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the Rams came up short, as they lost to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI. After an injury plagued 2002 season, Williams bounced back in 2003, recording 76 tackles and four interceptions. Williams retired after an injury-riddled 2004 campaign.

Bettis spent three years with the Rams, with the final season being in St. Louis. In his one season with the St. Louis Rams, Bettis ran for 637 yards 3 TD's. After the season, Bettis moved to Pittsburgh, where he recorded six consecutive seasons with over 1,000 yards, including 1,665 in the 1997 campaign.
