The NFL attempts to showcase every team to a national audience on either NBC's Sunday Night Football or ESPN's signature Monday Night Football, but the St. Louis Rams won't get the opportunity in 2012. The Rams' full regular season schedule was announced on Tuesday, and St. Louis' only prime time game comes on a Thursday night, Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Perhaps it isn't surprising, given that the Rams finished with the second worst record in the NFL last season. St. Louis did make a lauded long-term move this off-season by dealing their No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft to the Washington Redskins for three first round draft picks, including Washington's No. 6 overall selection this year.

The St. Louis Rams' 2012 NFL schedule is six percent less mysterious than the average team's—we know, thanks to the NFL schedule types' cosmopolitan fancies, that Week 8 will be against the New England Patriots in London—but Tuesday night's big, silly reveal will answer some other burning questions. Like:

1. Which NFC West team will the Rams face in Week 11, with the season suddenly looking plausibly successful and this game serving as a potentially massive roadblock to our perpetually dented credibility? Usually it seems like this role belongs to the Seattle Seahawks, and I don't like to futz with tradition. But I'm feeling Kevin Kolb and the Arizona Cardinals for this role, for some reason.

2. Which of the cold-weather teams they're set to play on the road will the Rams have to deal with in the middle of winter? Right now it's either the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions, or the Buffalo Bills, but I have no reason to believe this won't just be one after the other, with Sam Bradford eventually retiring to spend more time in California circa the 1980s with his supermodel girlfriend.

3. Who will be the last team the Rams face while they still have a .500 record? Depending on how you feel about this team, you're going to want to wait until they release information about Week 1, Week 8, or Week 17.

For a complete look at who the Rams will be playing, if not when, check out our full NFL schedule 2012 storystream.

The St. Louis Rams' 2012 schedule—along with the rest of the NFL's—is going to be released Tuesday night, but some of the air's already out of the thing: We already know they'll be playing one of their home games in a sleepy little suburb of St. Louis called London, against the New England Patriots. That'll be Week 8, on October 28, with Week 9 presumably turning into a bye.
↵
So, just in case you were waiting until tonight's absurd ESPN special report on the schedule to figure out just what the most ridiculous part of the Rams' schedule is in 2012—well, I'm sorry to spoil it for you, but it's probably that home game at Wembley Stadium that has, for most of the offseason, been more interesting as a symptom of the Rams' distaste for the Edward Jones Dome than an actual thing that is really happening.
↵
Oh, and in case you're planning on making the trip out there to support the Rams while Stan Kroenke attempts to move the team there, let me be the first to warn you: I'm pretty sure they call it "soccer" out there.

The St. Louis Rams' 2012 schedule is just about to materialize.

Just a few more hours until you'll be able to plan your Edward Jones Dome excursions with complete accuracy: The St. Louis Rams' 2012 schedule is set to be released Tuesday night, on a completely ridiculous three-hour ESPN special. Of course, we already know what Week 8 will look like: The St. Louis Rams are set to play the New England Patriots in London, as the "home" team. I hope you already bought your plane tickets.

The Rams will also play the following teams at home, in their actual home, in the United States: The Arizona Cardinals; the San Francisco 49ers; the Seattle Seahawks; the Green Bay Packers; the Minnesota Vikings; the Washington Redskins; and the New York Jets.

They'll also be playing the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Buffalo Bills, and the Miami Dolphins on the road. So really, all that remains to be seen is just when that happens. Presumably the Rams are hoping for Soldier Field in September and Miami in December...
