2011 Blues Schedule 10/24-10/30: St. Louis Looks To Start Winning Streak

The Blues take a road trip to Canada this week with games at Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.

We're not sure if anyone in St. Louis noticed (we're told there are more pressing sporting events going on at the moment), but last weekend was a good one for the Blues. After dropping consecutive road games to the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings, the Blues picked up impressive victories at home against the Carolina Hurricanes (in OT) and at Philadelphia. The pair of victories evens the Blues' record at 4-4. St. Louis has three games on the calendar this week. Let's take a look.

Oct. 26: @ Vancouver

The Canucks have also won two straight and are set to welcome St. Louis to town on Wednesday. Vancouver currently ranks 13th in the NHL in goals per game (2.8) and 20th in goals against (also 2.8). With the Sedin twins headlining the attack, the Blues' defense will have their work cut out for them.

Oct. 28: @ Calgary

The Flames are struggling, just 2-4-1, and present perhaps the best chance for the Blues to tally two points. As always, the Flames are led by Jarome Iginla and Alex Tanguay. Tanguay leads the team in points with seven.

Oct. 30: @ Edmonton

St. Louis' Canadian road trip ends Sunday after a meeting with the Oilers at Rexall Place. It won't be easy for the Blues' attack: Edmonton is only giving up 1.4 goals per game, good for second in the NHL.
