The Blues have been holding steady in the Western Conference throughout the season, relying a stellar defense and a young offense that has been able to hold its own against some of the NHL's stiffest competition. It happened again on Tuesday, when the Blues shutout the Blackhawks 3-0 at the Scottrade Center. The win lifted the Blues to 7-7.

Before the Blues get to the weekend portion of their schedule, they'll get a visit from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday. Toronto has been outstanding thus far, and currently sit second in the Eastern Conference with 19 points.

The Blues have just one game this weekend, and, again, it's at home. Steven Stamkos leads the Lightning into town for a Saturday evening face-off. While Stamkos leads the team in goals with 10, the Blues would be wise to focus much of their attention on Marc-Andre Bergeron. The defenseman leads the team in points (15) thanks to 13 assists.
