St. Louis Blues Postponement: The Snowstorm Schedule Aftermath

The St. Louis Blues are coming off their first home game postponement in club history, and while the Scottrade Center digs itself out the Blues are left to deal with an altered schedule. The postponement leaves them with nine days off, courtesy the All-Star Break, and they won't be back in action until Friday's home game against the Edmonton Oilers.

For a Blues team that lost four straight going into the All-Star Break, that might not be such a bad thing. If you're worried about momentum, their 2-9-1 start to 2011—following a characteristically scorching end to December—has officially come to a complete stop.

But after Friday's return to action, the break is over—the Post-Dispatch reports that the Blues will play 33 games over the final 65 days of the season, which will leave them little time for winding down down the stretch as they climb back toward .500. In case you were wondering, the P-D reports that Alex Pietrangelo spent his downtime... playing video games. The rich are different from you and me.
