The Anaheim Ducks upset the St. Louis Blues at the Honda Center on Wednesday night, knocking off the Blues 4-3. The victory gives the Ducks 75 points and improves Anaheim to 32-32-11 overall. St. Louis falls to 46-20-8.
The two teams entered the third period tied 2-2, but David Perron would quickly give St. Louis the upper hand. Perron's 16th goal of the season came five minutes into the final frame and was set-up by teammates Kevin Shattenkirk and Alex Pietrangelo. Devante Smith-Pelly knotted things up three minutes later when he beat Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak for his sixth goal of the season.
With six minutes remaining in the game, Anaheim would go up for good when Jason Blake scored his seventh goal of the season off passes from Sheldon Brookbank and Lubomir Visnovsky.
The Blues out-shot the Ducks 38-22 on the night.
