Jack Clark, the orange curmudgeon most recently famous for saying the "quitter" St. Louis Cardinals had "poopy in their pants," is officially out at Fox Sports Midwest, per Dan Caesar's latest. Caesar saw his "no-nonsense approach" as a "refreshing departure" from post-game homerism, but to me he just seemed perpetually unprepared. Maybe that's because he was actually unprepared:
↵↵↵"I tried to be as honest as I could, speak from my heart,'' Clark said. "Most of the time I never had notes..."

He seems to see that as a positive, but Clark would have been well-served by using notes; on the postgame show he seemed uncomfortable responding in stride to the other anchors' comments. Oddly enough, he shared a birthday and a name with Jack Clark the first baseman, who led the league in OPS in 1987 and in walks three separate times.
