Jayson Werth forced the St. Louis Cardinals into a fifth and final game in their series against the Washington Nationals on Thursday night with a walk-off home run in the ninth inning, resulting in a 2-1 win at home. Now, the series will be decided in Game 5 to see who gets the right to face the San Francisco Giants.

The final game of the series will feature a re-match of the pitching match-up from the first game of the series. Washington's Cy Young contender Gio Gonzalez (21-8, 2.89) will face off against Adan Wainwright (14-13, 3.94) of the Cardinals. Gonzalez was slightly walk-happy in the first game of the series, allowing seven walks in his start, but settled down enough to allow the Nationals to nick a 3-2 win in the end.

This time, he'll have the comfort of being at home instead of in front of the raucous St. Louis crowd. St. Louis will need to force the win on the road if they want to keep their title defense going, while Washington will be looking for their first ever series win in their first ever playoff appearance since moving to the nation's capital in 2005.

The game will be at 7:37 p.m. CT at Nationals Park. The game will be televised on TBS.
