Cardinals vs. Giants, 2012 NLCS Game 6: Game time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more

The Cardinals take on the Giants in Game 6 of the NLCS. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. CT on FOX.

The St. Louis Cardinals are looking to eliminate the San Francisco Giants in Game 6 of the NLCS. If they get get past the Giants, the Cardinals will be playing in their second straight World Series. In Game 5, the Cardinals were shutout, 5-0, and their offense was baffled by Giants starter Barry Zito.

This will be the second attempt for the Cardinals to eliminate the Giants, but Game 6 brings the series back to the Bay Area. The Cardinals are 4-2 on the road during the playoffs, and split the first two games of this series on the road while the Giants are just 1-3 at home this postseason.

The projected starting pitchers for Sunday's game will be a rematch of Game 1 starters. The Cardinals will be sending out Chris Carpenter, and the Giants are sending out Ryan Vogelsong.

In the prior matchup, Carpenter lasted just four innings, gave up six hits and was tagged for five runs, but only two were earned. Vogelsong went seven innings, allowing just four hits and one run and striking out four to get his first postseason win.
