Dan McLaughlin, Al Hrabosky Top Survey Of Bad Baseball Broadcasting Teams

The St. Louis Cardinals' TV broadcasting team is much maligned in certain internet circles—I don't really mind it, to be honest—but even with that in mind I was surprised to see them approach rock bottom in FanGraphs's survey of baseball broadcasters. Only the Los Angeles Dodgers' Vin Scully-free away broadcasts fell below Dan'n'Al'n'/or'Rick, who rated a 2.3 out of 5 overall.

If I were relying on them for analysis, or had any expectation of their opinions meshing with my own, I might be harsher, but at this point Dan McLaughlin and Al Hrabosky sniping at each other on the air is a summer institution—not so vital as Mike Shannon mispronouncing some call-up's name and asking after Ol' Abner, but something I look forward to anyway. I'm not even sure I always enjoy it, but I'd miss it if it were gone.

And come on: It could easily be worse than it is right now. None of them, so far as I know, is even a member of the Brennaman family!
